HASTE: Coloured

"HASTE!" screamed the teenage boy, a delicate smile breaking through his usually blank face.

Haste was exactly as it was called...it enabled him to speed up to mach speed for short periods of time. A set of magic circles appeared at his feet, glowing a deep red, alongside the clockwork scythe. It's painted eyes widened and the entire thing turned red, the spines raising.

It was a semi-soul resonance...they couldn't soul resonate properly, despite being able to match their wavelengths. Not that it mattered.

The boy let out a squeal of delight as he brought the scythe down on the egg-of-kishin, slicing it in half, and then in half again. He laughed as his partner, the scythe, changed into her human form, dressed in the same Victorian-style as her meister, except wearing a skirt and goggles rather than top-hat and shorts. She was taller than her partner, despite her partner being tall himself.

Snatching the soul, the boy tenderly passed it to his scythe.

"Thank you Jade," said the scythe.

In actual fact, the boy wasn't really a boy, but a girl, and the scythe was, rather than a girl, a boy. The duo were cross-dressers and used it to their advantage, confusing their enemies (and potential colleagues).

"Soul number twenty-three!" said the scythe, swallowing it.

"Indeed Alex...we should get going...we're going to be late to the initiation," replied Jade, her face relaxing into a passive state.

And so Alex Orange, Clockwork Scythe, and his meister Jade Bladewing headed towards Shibusen.

Hahaha...I just wrote that then. My god my characters are weird (and yes, Jade is based off me physically...but she has a different personality...and she cross-dresses...and she ain't a mary-sue! SO SHUT UP!)
